Glenn Irvine

Glenn Irvine is the founder and CEO of Webagility. For over 10 years he has been a Principal Consultant and Business Development Executive for Premier IBM & Google Business Partners in Queensland, Australia. He has worked with some of the cutting edge Portal/Collaborative/Social Computing technologies in the Corporate Market.

Glenn has been instrumental in the introduction of these technologies (Portal, Web Content Management, Collaborative and Workflow solutions) in his clients ranging from Public Sector Agencies to large Enterprise Corporations.

He is active in the software industry within Queensland and Australia, and has spoken at IT conferences and produced articles on the adoption of these leading Portal and Web2.0/Social Computing technologies. Actively participating in the Australian Information Industry Association, and Software Queensland, and in World leading implementation partners for IBM Portal and Collaborative Solutions, winning the IBM Chief Technology Officer’s award in 2004 for developing Workplace Solutions.

Glenn has achieved the WebSphere Top Gun award with IBM (2005) and has also achieved the IBM Resellers Award for Software Group in Queensland two years in a row in 2006 and 2007.

He is sales certified in all 5 software brands at IBM (Lotus, WebSphere, Tivoli, Information Management, and Rational) as well as the IBM SSM and SPIN Sales Methodologies.

Glenn is currently the Secretary for Software Queensland after being on the Executive for the last 3 years. In this role he is currently responsible for the communications and media liaison portfolio and has spoken on the Industry opportunities for ICT Students at Secondary College Futures Advisory Boards and at Griffith University’s ICT Faculty (BIT@Work Program).

In 2008 Glenn was appointed to the ICT Industry Advisory Board for Griffith University, the Futures Advisory Board of Sheldon College, the Advisory Board of the Australian School of the Arts (ASTA), and in 2010 the Queensland Government ICT Ministerial Advisory Group (IMAG)
